Top Gear is a British television series about motor vehicles, primarily cars, and is a relaunched version of the original 1977 show of the same name, airing since 2002, and becoming the most widely watched factual television programme in the world.

My DVD rips are always taken DIRECTLY from the actual DVDs, not re-encodings of an earlier h264 torrent, and not "filled in" with web downloads.
HEVC is a superb machine, but it should be given quality raw materials.
This is the first episode of season 13 of the revived Top Gear, from 2009, ripped directly from my DVD. Season 13 was the final season NOT filmed in high definition.
I uploaded this episode because it features the famous "race to the north" race between the Tornado A1 steam loco, a Jaguar and an old bike. I uploaded the entire episode (the race is in 2 parts within the episode).
I created an HEVC (h265) 8 bit video using x265.exe in 2 pass mode. The "busy" nature of much of this footage means that I had to use a higher bandwidth than eexpected. I preserved the original DVD resolution and aspect ratio (16:9). The audio is a stereo AAC track (the best available on the DVD was stereo).
Finally, the English subtitles are included as an option.
