The film is the directorial debut of editor Mahesh Narayan, with Fahadh Faasil , Parvathy and Kunchacko Boban starring in the lead role. Take Off is written by Mahesh Narayan and P. V. Shajikumar and produced by Anto Joseph, Shebin Backer and Megha Rajesh.



In 2014, a group of Malayali nurses was captured when terrorists took over the city of Tikrit in Iraq. This movie recounts the ordeal suffered by the nurses following their capture.
