Torino, carcere "Le Nuove", novembre 1989. Un uomo di trentacinque anni racconta la propria storia. E' Sergio Segio, uno dei fondatori del gruppo armato "Prima linea", entrato in clandestinit? a met? degli anni settanta, nella convinzione che l'uso della violenza fosse una scelta necessaria nel nome di una "rivoluzione". Segio ? a Venezia, dove ha riunito un gruppo di militanti che si preparano a compiere un'azione "impossibile": far evadere dal carcere di Rovigo quattro detenute, tra le quali Susanna Ronconi, la donna che Sergio ama e con cui ha condiviso idee, scelte politiche, tragici errori. Mentre scorre la "giornata dell'evasione", Sergio "rivede" i momenti pi? importanti della sua vita: il primo incontro con Susanna, la condivisione della clandestinit?, il complesso rapporto coi genitori, lo scontro doloroso con Piero, l'amico di una vita, che ha condiviso i suoi sogni giovanili, ma che ha rifiutato la lotta armata. I ricordi si susseguono, fino agli esiti pi? drammatici. Intanto la giornata del 3 gennaio volge al culmine. Sergio e il gruppo si avvicinano al carcere di Rovigo, all'interno Susanna e le altre attendono l'ora fissata. E finalmente il momento atteso arriva...
Turin, prison "Le Nuove", November 1989. A man of thirty-five years tells his own story. It is Sergio Segio, one of the founders of the "First Line" armed group, who went underground in the mid-1970s, believing that violence was a necessary choice in the name of a "revolution". Condemned to many years in jail, Segio remembers the days of his arrest, and still remembers a particular day: January 3, 1982. Segio is in Venice where he assembled a group of militants preparing to take action "impossible ": to escape from Rovigo prison four detainees, including Susanna Ronconi, the woman Sergio loved and with whom she shared ideas, political choices, tragic mistakes. As the "day of evasion" runs, Sergio "reviews" the most important moments of his life: the first encounter with Susanna, the sharing of clandestinity, the complex relationship with her parents, the painful confrontation with Piero, the friend of a life, which shared his youthful dreams, but who refused the armed struggle. The memories follow, to the most dramatic outcomes. Meanwhile, the day of January 3 turns to the culmination. Sergio and the group approached the prison in Rovigo, inside Susanna and the others wait for the fixed hour. And finally the expected moment comes ...
