OPIS

Neila Salah (Camélia Jordana) jest młodą ambitną dziewczyną z algierskimi korzeniami. Od pewnego czasu mieszka z mamą i babcią na przedmieściach Paryża. Jest lubiana i ma wielu przyjaciół i chłopaka Mounira (Yasin Houicha). Chce zostać prawniczą i podejmuje studia na uniwersytecie Assas. Jednak już pierwszego dnia doświadcza upokorzenia ze strony jednego z profesorów, Pierre'a Mazarda (Daniel Auteuil), już znanego w tym środowisku ze swoich prowokacyjnych wystąpień. W sprawę mieszają się władze uniwersyteckie. Cyniczny i zarozumiały, a zarazem doświadczony i wymagający nauczyciel akademicki, żeby zrekompensować studentce tę podszytą rasizmem zniewagę, zmuszony zostaje do tego, aby przygotować Algierkę do olimpiady. Żadnemu z nich nie przyjdzie łatwo pozbycie się wzajemnej niechęci.
