OPIS

Akcja miniserialu "Ucieczka z Dannemory" oparta jest na prawdziwych wydarzeniach z 2015 i dotyczy niecodziennej ucieczki dwóch mężczyzn z więzienia Dannemora w stanie Nowy Jork. W realizacji planu pomogła osadzonym zamężna pracownica więzienia, która przez wiele miesięcy miała romans z oboma mężczyznami. Poszukiwania zbiegów, którzy odsiadywali tam wyroki za morderstwo, prowadzono na terenie całego stanu. Skazany za morderstwo Richard Matt (Benicio Del Toro) opracowuje plan ucieczki. W realizacji zamiarów pomaga mu Tilly Mitchell (Patricia Arquette) – pracująca żona i matka, która kieruje więzienną szwalnią. Tilly wdaje się w romans z Mattem, ale także drugim skazanym – Davidem Sweatem (Paul Dano). Ten odsiaduje wyrok za zabicie policjanta i być może darzy Tilly prawdziwym uczuciem. David dość niechętnie zgadza się pomóc Richardowi Mattowi w realizacji jego planu.
