История коллектива Culture Beat тесно связана с историей немецкой танцевальной музыки. Началом их музыкального творчества можно считать 1989 год - тогда группа вызвала большой резонанс в немецких и британских чартах с синглом "Erdbeermund".
Следующим успешным шагом в их карьере можно считать 1993 год, когда был выпущен альбом "Serenity" и Culture Beat в одночасье завоевал сердца музыкальной танцевальной тусовки, не только в Германии, но и по всей Европе. Они становятся по настоящему популярными, приглашения сыпятся со всех сторон, они становятся лауреатами нескольких почетных в музыкальной среде премий.
Композиция Mr. Vain достигает первых мест в дэнс-чартах двенадцати разных стран, в том числе 9 недель держится в чарте Германии и 4 недели в Великобритании. Сингл одноименной композиции был продан тиражом 4,5 млн. во всем мире, тогда как продажи альбома достигли результат 1,5 млн. копий. Mr.Vain до сих пор остаётся одним из символов музыки в стиле техно. Очень многие исполнители делали подобный проигрыш в своих песнях, слегка его видоизменяя (Взять хотя бы наши «Руки Вверх!» и песню «Танцуй!»). На заставках передач типа «Музыкальная дорожка» или «Теле-компакт» тоже звучит проигрыш Culture Beat. Старые поклонники любят своих кумиров!
В конце 1993 успех группы был омрачён трагической смертью основателя и продюсера Torsten Fenslau. На все вопросы по поводу дальнейшей судьбы Culture Beat ответил Frank Fenslau - брат Torsten, который поклялся вести бизнес по прежнему, несмотря на потерю.
Прошло два года и новый альбом "Inside Out" был готов попасть на рынок, символизируя следующий этап в творчестве Culture Beat. Качество и оригинальность всегда были товарными знаками Culture Beat на протяжении многих лет и это видно в их новом альбоме. При производстве "Inside Out" Frank Fenslau подошёл к работе в неприсущей немецкой танцевальной сцене манере, но вполне нормальной для Великобритании или США. Над альбомом работало 5 разных композиторов. В итоге - каждый трек имеет свои отличительные черты и характер.
Синглы, сопровождающие ведущие композиции альбома были также успешными. Например, в 1996 году синглы "Crying in the Rain" и "Take Me Away" достигли №25 и №4 в Израиле, соответственно. К сожалению участники Tanya Evans и Jay Supreme вскоре покинули группу, чтобы заняться собственной сольной карьерой.
В феврале 1998 выходит сингл "Pay No Mind", который был выпущен в Нидерландах и Германии. "Pay No Mind" первый сингл с участием Kim Sanders. Этот сингл был выпущен аккурат перед новым альбомом Culture Beat - "Metamorphosis", вышедшим чуть позднее, в начале лета 1998 года. Culture Beat теперь сольный проект, однако в некоторых композициях мы можем услышать голос реппера N'XT.
2001 год: В рядах Culture Beat опять изменения - новая вокалистка Jackie Sangster. Осенью того же года они выпускают новый альбом "Obsession", который содержит 15 треков.
2004 год: В одном из интервью Jackie Sangster сообщает, что коллектив по-прежнему "на плаву" и, более того, они ведут работу над записью нового альбома...
