Azumi e Nagara sono gli ultimi sopravvissuti del gruppo di giovani sicari che i Tokugawa hanno addestrato per eliminare i loro nemici e nonostante tutti i lutti ed i sacrifici patiti, finora la loro missione non può ancora dirsi conclusa. Infatti uno dei leader Toyotomi è ancora vivo e si prepara alla guerra. Accompagnati dalla giovane ninja Kozue, i due si mettono così in marcia per uccidere l'ultimo obiettivo, e guadagnare così la tanto sospirata pace.
