My notes



  When Danny Boyle's Frankenstein is performed,  Miller and Cumberbatch alternate the role of Creature and Victor Frankenstein.  These are the first videos I have seen that are not from an audience CAM.



  The file names show v. 1 and v.2.  Here in this one file share are both versions of Danny Boyle's play complete.  They are from different sources and this upload has a lot of 'smoothing' for lack

of adequate editing term with accurate naming, separated featurettes and things I usually do

to make the viewing easier.



 Whether Lee or Cumberbatch, the play has amazing performances.  The story from Mary Shelley we know.  There's not a lot of variation from that.  It is what is done on stage that is stunning.  In theatrical terms I thought of the technique called 'bio mechanics' when seeing the birth of the creature.  This is acting at the limits.  It's the sort of thing Grotowski did, or Peter Brook.  It takes the audience into that realm of theatre experiment I experienced in a small way many years ago when it was new and continues to provide those dynamic effects throughout



 The play is still in performance.  It may come to a movie theatre near you from NTLive.
