The program has been designed as common program for surveillance hybrid platforms functioning at the same time with wireless and wired IP cameras, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and distant pcs. Customers see MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software through network that surveillance server can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition drastically improves reliability because all parts work as autonomous software. If one unit freezes, other modules continue running. For instance if the `record` module stops working, `watchdog` starts again it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` part. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on remote station via Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
