Frédéric, een mid-twintiger, is recent vrijgelaten en werkt 's nachts bij een hoog aangeschreven hotel in de adembenemende Pyreneeën.
Op een nacht ziet hij de hoteleigenaar, Jacques Couvreur, en zijn zoon een beschadigde auto verbergen. Wanneer de politie de dood van een hotelgast onderzoekt,
