DESCRIPTION
This is England: Mods, New Romantics, and Skinheads are the major youth sub-cultures of this very English summer of 1983 and young 12-year-old Shaun is left wandering aimlessly alone and lost during the start of his school holidays, until his chance meeting with Woody and his fun and friendly Skinhead pack. TRAMA :
Luglio 1983, ultimo giorno di scuola. Il dodicenne Shaun è un ragazzo isolato, cresciuto in una sperduta cittadina di mare. Il padre è morto nella guerra delle Falklands. Tornando a casa, incontra Woody e i suoi amici skinhead che, contrariamente al loro aspetto minaccioso, gli appaiono simpatici ed educati. Gli skinhead accettano Shaun come uno di loro e lo aiutano a trovare due valori che gli sono sempre mancati: l'amicizia e i modelli maschili di riferimento. Con i nuovi amici, Shaun scopre un mondo di feste, il primo amore e la gioia di indossare gli stivali "Dr. Martens". Shaun incontra anche Combo, skinhead dichiaratamente razzista, più grande del gruppo, appena uscito dal carcere dove ha scontato una pena di tre anni e mezzo.
