Alla fine dell’Ottocento, in un paesino degli Appennini, vivono Alessandro e Pietro, due fratelli diversi e legatissimi, soprattutto dopo la morte della madre che fa loro l’ultimo regalo: Sauro e Baio, due stupendi cavalli non ancora domati.
