This archive contains more than 480 Doom-related games and conversions. The games are presented as batch files arranged in 6 folders. To play any game you have to unpack the 7zip archive to any folder on your hard drive and start a game by clicking on its batch file from Windows explorer. You can also make a link to your desktop for convenience.
Most of the games use GZDoom 4.5.0 port which was current at the time of archive creation. The port has an impressive compatibility record with thousands of games run flawlessly in it (but you may still encounter rare bugs in some). If for some reason you prefer to use other ports (for example PrBoom) you will have to modify batch files to update the path to a port's executable file. Prboom executable is included in the archive in a folder "!Manuals And Tools!Engines".
This archive does not claim to be a complete source of Doom games. There are thousands of games available on the net and many of them are collected on doomworld.com (https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/?search). However this is a collection of many notable games from 1993 to the start of 2021. There are original vanilla games, universally acclaimed games, hardest possible games, conversions as well as pretty rare and obscure games you may not stumble upon even you played Doom for years.
The contents of this archive is _mostly_ legal. The port itself and overwhelming number of games are freely available on the net but many of them require files from the commercial Doom and Doom 2 and which are not free. If you want to buy the commercial vanilla Doom games (I'm not sure you should though, id Software is not the same as it was and your money will not go to the original creators), I'll provide you with links:
