The source suffers from severe contrast and color issues, and abundance of dotcrawls and rainbowing. The quality of the source across the 5 DVDs differs greatly with episode 9, 13, 23, and 26 being the worst in term of coloring and details. Most of the issues has been fixed or minimized without affecting the picture quality much. Additionally, the source has a distracting frame shaking that was also fixed. The high bitrate was needed to maintain transparency, and the final size reduction is about ≈58% of the source. A lot of effort and testing has gone into this release, so enjoy this demented gem of a show. A must watch.
