Ma le cose peggiorano ancora quando il mondo viene sconvolto da forze potenti.
Però Erik scopre il coraggio e la determinazione del padre quando Mambo riunisce attorno a sé la comunità dei pinguini e tutta una serie di creature straordinarie, dai minuscoli krill ai giganteschi elefanti marini, per rimettere le cose a posto.
