# "Harpoon" series 20th anniversary ultimate edition

Military fans may be more familiar with CMO Modern Command Operations or CMANO Modern Naval and Air Operations
But today I would like to introduce the "Harpoon" series, which can be called the predecessor of the CMO series.
It is a really realistic naval and air operation simuation.

Harpoon is originally a tabletop chess game, the electronic version is based on the rules of the 3rd generation, and the tabletop version is now available in the 5th generation.

This Ultimate Edition not only includes all major releases in the 20-year history of the Harpoon series, but also includes：
1. Harpoon3 ANW v394
2. Harpoon Ultimate Commander's Edition build2015.027
3. Harpoon3 Ultimate Advanced Naval Warfare v3.11.1.0
4. Harpoon3 v3.6.3
The ANW v394 and Commander's Edition are the two versions I recommend:
* the ANW v394 integrates the latest packets and images from 2016 and 2020, and supports online
* Commander's Edition uses the standard Windows's GUI and is a bit more user-friendly

## To start game, do as follows:
> Harpoon3 ANW v394: can be started through the game directory autorun.exe (launcher, you can view the built-in instructions document, etc.) or harpoon3.exe.
> Harpoon Ultimate Commander's Edition build2015.027: Commander's Edition can be started through Winharp32.exe in the game directory.
Through the autorun.exe menu "20 Years of Commanders edition" to start the Harpoon series 20th anniversary of the full set (NOTICE!!! in that menu Harpoon CE means Winharp32.exe, that is, the current version, and the game can not start from here!)
> Harpoon3 Ultimate Advanced Naval Warfare v3.11.1.0 : You can start by autorun.exe or harpoon3.exe in the game directory.
> Harpoon3 v3.6.3 : can be started by autorun.exe or harpoon3.exe in the game directory.
## Notes
Since the harpoon3.ini configuration file may be written to the path of the resource file, I have changed it to a relative path, but there may still be a need to open harpoon3.ini and change the E:GamesHarpoon3 v3.6.3 or the relative path representing. Replace it with the actual directory of your game!
Commander's edition may pop up several error msgboxes at startup, after testing click OK to skip it, it does not seem to affect the game. Also if you use the launcher this version will not start, please start the game through WinHarp32.exe!
Since the check activation mechanism of the game program of v3.6.3 seems to be invalid, so I saw the text with check activation but tested that it can be run directly, so there is no crack, if there is a problem running please leave a message!
