The Ablution group became a logical continuation of the short-lived Baltik team. And under this name they did not last long, releasing only one album. At the heart of Ablution are the same people as in the forerunner - Janne Schaffer, Bjorn Lind, Ola Brunkert, however, in the line-up you can also notice not the most Swedish surname - Barry de Souza, who plays drums and trumpet. And the position of the percussionist, which was occupied by Malando Gassama, makes it possible to guess that this version of the group specialized in the performance of jazz-rock with a Latin American bias. Contemporaries called Ablution "Swedish answer to Santana", there were comparisons with Weather Report and Return To Forever. The team did not turn out to be a long-liver, and Shaffer and Lind turned into sought-after studio musicians, participating in an endless number of projects.
