The original video was poor and very dark; I had to crank the contrast/brightness to get a decent picture. The real reason to get this DVD is the sound quality. Dan (DR) deserves many kudos for his work on the audio, it really makes the show. He was able to matrix the original audio with another audio source for a pretty decent listen. Thinking of it as a completest show at the time, and prior to the additional source audio becoming available, I crunched it down onto one DVD. In retrospect I wish I hadn't, but its done now and the original tape is long since returned. Even though I could probably borrow it again, the occasional "squiggles" present on the tape I had still wouldn't make it worth doing over. If a cleaner version ever emerges, maybe I'll put out a two-disc "platinum" edition someday. Till then, this will do, and as I said the matrixed audio makes it worth having. It aint a stellar DVD, buts its a goodun. The camerawork is solid and steady, and frighteningly close. There are some heads and such but the filmer did a really great job when the lens wasn't obstructed. The show starts with the 2nd track "Big Money", because there were a several nasty cuts during the intro and the opening song "Dreamline". It just flows better to start from there. For the curious and the hardcore, the intro and Dreamline are on the DVD in an easter egg, if you can find them. ;-) Brian Morgan (Duley) did another stellar job with the artwork, which is included on the disc in the "Artwork" folder, and is also the basis of the DVD menus.
