10 JUL 2026 - Back up to full speed! Let's be honest: for the last few months, TorrentFunk was painfully slow. Pages crawled, searches dragged, and just loading the site tested everyone's patience. We hunted the problem down to our network and rebuilt it from the ground up — smarter caching, a much bigger and faster connection, and a lot of fine-tuning under the hood. The difference is night and day: the site now loads in a fraction of a second. No more waiting around. Thanks for sticking with us through the slow spell. Now go discover your funk!
The sound files were full of errors including SBEs and some other things. The files were decodable to WAVs, but not encodable to FLAC from WAVs. I got the following error messages in TLH:
So, using my ingenuity, I devised a way to cleverly correct this problem. All I did was load up each WAV file in an audio-editing program, copy the wav file, paste it into a NEWLY CREATED blank wav page, then save the new file somewhere. It's NOT ENOUGH to load the WAV file into the editor and then save it again back to the hard drive. You MUST copy and paste the WAV file into a newly created blank slate and then save that file. I then encoded the files to FLAC8 using TLH, aligning on Sector Boundaries. This is how I fixed this mess. You're welcome!
