О фильме: В американской глуши из озера достают едва не утонувшего молодого человека. Откачать его удаётся, но незнакомец никак не может вспомнить ничего из прошлой жизни, даже собственного имени. Жители местного городка с подозрением, но принимают его в своё сообщество, и вот уже Коэн (такое имя дали несостоявшемуся утопленнику за его любовь к песням Леонарда Коэн) обустраивается на новом месте и даже обзаводится симпатичной невестой. А потом всё из того же озера вылавливают труп девушки и все начинают подозревать, что к её смерти как-то причатен Коэн.
