Peter & The Roses is an electronic music project mixing influences from the 70s with contemporary production techniques.
After years of working behind the scenes with artists such as Justice, Busy P, SebastiAn, Boston Bun, Nekfeu, Kungs and brands such as Chanel, BMW, Samsung and Maison Kitsune, the artist behind Peter & The Roses is ready to launch his new solo project with a unique visual universe, and yet still wishes to remain anonymous.
It is by drawing his inspiration from a wide range of musical genres, including electronica indie pop, rock or house; the visual universe of comics by Moebius, Caza, Jodorowski or even the cinema scope by Fincher, Spielberg, Singh, Miller or Nolan, that the creator of 'Peter & The Roses' has developed an artistic touch all of his own.
The character of Peter, the archetypal lone anti-hero coming straight out of a 70’s movie, finds himself in a dreamlike world representing his creator's dreams and neuroses. By embodying concepts such as the interjection between good and evil, beauty in melancholy and uncertainty in the quest for happiness, the universe of Peter & The Roses was born.
The details of this unearthly world were all imagined by the artist in collaboration with studio Werlen Meyer, Charlotte Delarue and Dave Macklovitch of Juliet Records.
