Thomas Jacobs vindt een manier uit om de herinneringen van anderen van binnenuit te bekijken. Tegen zijn morele besef in accepteert hij een aanbod om de herinneringen van een heroïne-verslaafde te bekijken om zo te weten te komen of deze een moord heeft begaan. Er gaat echter iets mis en Thomas komt vast te zitten in de herinneringen van de verslaafde.
