Après la guerre sino-japonaise, Ip Man s'installe à Hong Kong avec sa famille afin d'y enseigner l'art du Wing Chun. Mais il se heurte à l'hostilité de la guilde des maîtres d'arts martiaux dirigée par le puissant HUNG.
