Tout va basculer le jour où un vieillard excentrique lui confie un très ancien appareil photo. Aux clichés de Jeff s'ajoute mystérieusement celui, sublime, d'une jeune femme belle et triste. Une photo énigmatique que Jeff n'a pas prise mais qui va lui apporter le succès et les problèmes. Car Anna, la jeune fille de la photo, est morte assassinée dans d'étranges circonstances.
