DESCRIPTION
CanadaΓÇÖs Handyman Challenge is hitting the road again for a second season on a nationwide search for the best all around handyman except this time around there is a $25,000 prize up for grabs. Contestants will be put through rigorous challenges to test their handyman skills in order to win the coveted title of CanadaΓÇÖs Best Handyman.
Teaming up for the first time as judges are HGTV celebrities Scott McGillivray (Income Property), Bryan Baeumler (Leave It To Bryan, House of Bryan) and Paul Lafrance (Decked Out, Deck Wars). This all-star team of judges will travel to Vancouver, Halifax and Toronto to hold LIVE auditions and recruit talented hopefuls. In each major city a top four will be selected to represent their regions (West, East and Central) forming our top twelve. These twelve will progress to Toronto to compete and strut their handyman talents. The ultimate handyman Mike Holmes (Holmes Makes It Right, Holmes Inspection) will weigh in on who will be crowned the winner of CanadaΓÇÖs Handyman Challenge II and be awarded a $25,000 cash prize.
Season Two, Episode 1: HALIFAX

In this first episode of the second season of CanadaΓÇÖs Handyman Challenge, Host Jenn Roberston and Judges Scott McGillivray, Paul Lafrance and Bryan Baeumler travel to Halifax where they meet savvy contestants with pre-made plywood projects. From these hopefuls the judges select the top ten handymen in Halifax. These contestants take on their first challenge of building a gate in two hours, after which three contestants will be eliminated. The remaining seven contestants have to create a go-kart, scooter or unique buggy from a garbage bin of materials. Two more contestants will be eliminated after this challenge, and the remaining five are declared the Eastern Canada finalists.
