Trama
Negli anni Trenta Joe, impiegato alle poste di New York ma con la vocazione dello scrittore, arriva a Parigi. Nella citt? del piacere e del vizio Joe conosce Carl, un fotografo polacco, che diventa suo compagno di avventure e con il quale frequenta locali alla moda e bordelli lussuosi. Le feste e gli incontri erotici si susseguono ma i giorni tristi si preannunciano anche per Parigi e l'Europa stessa perch? la guerra ? in arrivo.
The American writer Joe arrives in Paris to research and write about Proust. He meets the Polish Karl and they become friends and costumers of brothels and restaurants. When the fifteen year-old Colette arrives in Paris, they both fall in love with her.
