Thy Light is the solo Depressive Black Metal project of Brazilian musician Paolo Bruno (Desdominus, Dreamstate) from Limeira, São Paulo which began in 2005, with song lyrics written by Alex Witchfinder (Abske Fides). A demo, 'Suici.De.pression', was released in 2007 through Ruin Productions as a ''a tribute to the memory of Everaldo Dolensi Junior - committed suicide at September, 18th of 2006." "He was only 22-years old when he died." "All music was written in a deep state of depression and melancholy." The demo was later re-released as a full-length album on December 2012 through Pest Productions with different artwork. ''Suicidal Music for suicidal people.'' For fans of Xasthur, Nyktalgia, Forgotten Tomb, Silencer, Misere Nobis, Nocturnal Depression, Happy Days, Make A Change... Kill Yourself... Etc... Any fans of DSBM should know this album.

2013 : It was announced on Misere Nobis Official Facebook page that Thy Light will be releasing a split album with Misere Nobis in 2013. ''During the last summer season a particular person was able to capture our attention, one of the persons through which we are now producing our music, Paolo Bruno, of Thy Light. Today we are pleased to announce that THY LIGHT will be the band with which we will share a split in the upcoming months.''
