10 JUL 2026 - Back up to full speed! Let's be honest: for the last few months, TorrentFunk was painfully slow. Pages crawled, searches dragged, and just loading the site tested everyone's patience. We hunted the problem down to our network and rebuilt it from the ground up — smarter caching, a much bigger and faster connection, and a lot of fine-tuning under the hood. The difference is night and day: the site now loads in a fraction of a second. No more waiting around. Thanks for sticking with us through the slow spell. Now go discover your funk!
Erik Larson is a multi-instrumentalist from Richmond, Virginia. He is a well known figure in the Sludge and Southern metal scene in the southeast United States, most known as the guitarist and founding member of the Southern metal band Alabama Thunderpussy. Since ATP split in 2007 he has been involved in many projects with several musicians from the Sludge metal scene in and around Virginia. He helped create three projects in 2006 alone, Birds of Prey, Hail!Hornet, and Parasytic. Parasytic has a different sound from the Sludge/Southern metal sound that Larson usually plays. They play a Thrash metal/Crust style. He has a solo project that he formed in 2000, he plays all instruments (except bass on "The Resounding" ) and did vocals on both of his full-length releases. In 2003 he appeared in a compilation that gave the artists the song titles and the artists wrote the song based on the title. The title that was given to Larson was "Smile For the Soul Stealing Camera". The name of the compilation is "You've Got Your Orders - Volume One"Erik Larson: Vocals, Guitars, Drums
