Sanctuary sigue las aventuras de la bella y enigmática doctora Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), su nuevo ayudante, el psiquiatra forense Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), y su audaz hija, Ashley (Emilie Ullerup). Juntos persiguen, estudian y protegen a extrañas y muchas veces aterradoras criaturas que viven en secreto entre nosotros.
