The program has been designed as common software for security hybrid platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired IP cameras, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same form and functionality on the local and remote pcs. Customers watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete management of the software using network that surveillance computer can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition extensively improves reliability because all modules operate as autonomous programs. If one part freezes, other parts continue running. For example if the `capture` unit fails, `watchdog` starts over it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video through a `playback` module. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by activity, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant workstation through Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
