The software has been created as general product for surveillance hybrid platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the identical appearance and controls on the local and distant workstations. Users watch MPEG coded video and have complete control of the software using network that surveillance server can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular structure drastically boosts reliability because all components act as independent software. If one module fails, other units go on working. For example if the `record` module fails, `watchdog` starts over it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` unit. The software performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be activated by activity, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on remote pc via Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
