The software has been created as universal software for surveillance hybrid platforms running simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal look and controls on the local and apart pcs. Customers see MPEG-4 coded video and have full control of the software through network that surveillance pc can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition extensively improves reliability because all modules proceed as autonomous programs. If one module stops working, other components go on working. For instance if the `record` unit fails, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` module. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be activated by activity, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote pc using Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
