The software has been designed as common software for surveillance hybrid platforms functioning at the same time with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same form and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Users view MPEG coded video and have full control of the program via net that surveillance pc can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular composition considerably improves reliability because all units act as independent applications. If one part freezes, other parts continue running. For instance if the `record` component stops working, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` part. The software performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on apart server through Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected.
