The software has been designed as common program for surveillance hybrid platforms functioning simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and distant workstations. Customers view MPEG-4 coded video and have complete management of the software via network that surveillance pc can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition extensively improves reliability because all parts act as independent software. If one part freezes, other modules continue running. For instance if the `record` component fails, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` module. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on remote workstation using Web interface. The software does synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
