The program has been created as general application for security cross platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the identical appearance and controls on the local and remote pcs. Users view MPEG coded video and have full control of the software using net that surveillance workstation can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular configuration drastically increases reliability because all modules act as independent software. If one module fails, other parts continue running. For instance if the `record` part stops working, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` part. The software performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by motion, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on apart workstation using Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
