The program has been created as common application for security cross platforms functioning at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal look and controls on the local and distant workstations. Users see MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the software via network that surveillance server can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular composition significantly increases reliability because all parts act as independent programs. If one component stops working, other components go on working. For example if the `record` unit freezes, `watchdog` starts over it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` component. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by activity, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on apart computer through Web interface. The program makes synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
