The software has been created as universal application for surveillance cross platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar appearance and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Users see MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software through net that surveillance server can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular structure significantly improves reliability because all modules act as autonomous software. If one unit freezes, other modules keep on running. For example if the `record` module stops working, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` unit. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by motion, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant computer via Web interface. The program makes simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
